Oliver Horne Joins Affinity Global Real Estate to Bolster Advisory Team
Affinity Global Real Estate, the land and urban regeneration and development specialist, has recruited planning specialist Oliver Horne to bolster its rapidly growing real estate advisory team. Horne joins as Planning and Business Development Manager with a remit to: oversee site assessments, planning applications and to monitor and advise on planning legislation; to source and deliver detailed scheme appraisals ensuring a healthy pipeline of viable, researched and risk-managed deals.
Oliver reports direct to Affinity GRE’s Executive Chairman, Robert Whitton who said:
“Oliver brings highly specialised skills and robust experience to our advisory team. Planning gain is one of our defined business strategies so plays a critical role in delivery of our business plan.
“But, London’s well-publicised housing shortage can only be solved by planners working together with developers and local authorities too. That’s how Affinity operates. We collaborate with local authorities to provide community-focused, high density developments. Planning is the starting point and Oliver’s appointment signifies how seriously we take London’s planning challenge.”
Prior to joining Affinity, Oliver was Planning and Development Consultant in private practice, was an Area Planning Officer for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and a Planning Technician for Waverley Borough Council.
Oliver has a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate Management and a Post-graduate Master’s Degree in Planning Policy and Practice. He brings 17 years of specific and specialist planning and development experience to the team.
